予想よりも暖かったので、南房総へ向かって車を走らせた。館山についたところで、昼時になってしまったので、もう少し足を伸ばして野島崎へ。灯台の近くの食堂で、昼食。なめろう丼とアジのフライというの定食を食べた。なめろう丼は、ご飯の上になめろうと卵の黄身が載っているものだったけど、なかなか美味しかった。その後は腹ごなしに、岬の取っ付きまで海岸を散歩して、海の風を満喫した。今日の道程は約300km。

_ Firefox 4.0 Beta 12

Firefox 4.0へ向けた12個目のBetaがリリースされた。例によって、アナウンスはThe Mozilla Blogで、Get the Latest Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta, Test Your Favorite Websites and Add-onsという記事で掲載されている。次は予定では、RC1になるはずだが、Hard Blokcersが現時点で11個と微妙な数字。さて、Beta 13はあるのか、このままRC1になるのか。

_ xserver-xorg-video-radeon 1:6.14.0-1

オープンソースのradeonドライバが6.14.0になっていたので、ちょっと試してみた。最初に、/etc/X11/xorg.confを

ってな感じに。終わりの方の2行は不要かも。

次に、Plymouthを動かすために、/etc/initramfs-tools/modules/に

drm
radeon

の2行を追加して、

sudo update-initramfs -u

を実行。それと、/etc/default/grubのGRUB_CMDLINE_LINUXを

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="quiet splash iommu=noaperture nmi_watchdog=0"

と変更してから、

sudo update-grub

を実行して、リブート。これで、うまく動いてくれた。

今のところは特に不具合はないみたい。fglrxと比較して、パフォーマンスの差も感じられない。とりあえず、しばらく使ってみることにする。

_ lm-sensors 1:3.2.0-1

何気なく、コマンドラインからsensorsを実行したら、

radeon-pci-0100
Adapter: PCI adapter
temp1:       +61.0°C

なんて表示された。今までGPUの温度なんて表示されなかったのにと思って、ぐぐってみたら、LM_Sensors For ATI Graphics Cardsという記事を見つけた。

The way now to support this i2c channel is by exposing it in the DRM driver and the LM_Sensors should recognize the hardware monitoring adapter.

ってことだから、オープンソースのradeonドライバとKMSの組み合わせだと、lm-sensorsでGPUの温度を取得できるってことかな。
