_ 頭痛

昨晩の睡眠不足のためか、風邪気味なのか、朝から頭が痛い。何とか、一日持つといいけど。

_ NECエレとルネサス、半導体事業を統合

以前から噂はあったが、本当に経営統合に向かうようだ。マイコンとはSHが強いという印象はあるけれど、V850とかは生き残るのだろうか。それよりもNECエレのサポートの良さは是非継承して欲しいものだが。

_ 自由に使えるオープンソースの日本語フォント

フリーで使用できるフォントがサンプル表示付きで紹介されていて、なかなかわかりやすい。こう見てみると、数はそこそこあるけど、ゴシック体に比べて明朝体の数が少ない。ビジネスなどでワープロなどに使用することを考えると、ちょっと痛いところだなあ。

_ x.orgでのキーボードの設定

新しいxserverが導入されたことにより、キーボードの設定がおかしくなってしまった。Debian WikiのInputHotplugGuide(武藤さんによる日本語訳)を頼りに設定してみた。忘れないうちにメモしておく。

キーボードのマッピングの肝は/etc/default/console-setupというファイルらしい。こんな感じに設定すれば良さそうだ。

halをリスタートすると、

となって、うまくいっているようだ。ここまでくれば、/etc/X11/xorg.confにはキーボードやマウスの設定は必要なくなる。/var/log/Xorg.0.logを見ると、

という感じで、非常にうまくいっている。マウスのボタン数なども自動で取得できている。いやあ、便利な時代になったものだ。ある意味、Windowsよりも楽かも。

_ 今日のFirefox - Hg 2009042721-trunk/Linux

ずっと以前からだが、GNOMEパネル上に作成されたランチャーからFirefoxを起動しようとすると、うまくいかないことが多い。~/.xsession-errorsを見ると、

というメッセージが残されている。コマンドラインから直接起動したり、デスクトップに作成されたランチャーからは、問題なく起動できる。さて、何が問題なのだろう。
